Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Biologist (Ph.D.) with 2-5 years of experience and a genuine
interest in drug development. A strong background in molecular biology/biochemistry and/or cellular biology is
required. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies;
experience with assay development and/or drug-testing is a plus. Main goals will include identification of our own
drug-like compounds, biochemical and cellular validation. Possibility to grow with our multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Experimentation : conduct Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Cellular Biology experiments to support
internal research projects (protein immobilization and characterization, cell signaling, mammalian cell
culture related work, protein analysis, compound testing for target binding and activity, DNA analysis).
• NGS : perform DEL screening and ensure high-quality results through meticulous quality control processes.
Prepare amplicons, library construction, optimization and quantification.
• Bioanalytical evaluation : assess NGS DNA quality and quantity. Interpret data to ensure the accuracy and
reliability of NGS libraries.
• Data Analysis : Analyze and interpret sequencing data, providing insights and recommendations based on
the results.
• Project Management : Lead and manage projects, including planning, execution, and troubleshooting.
Prepare detailed experimental protocols and progress reports.
• Collaboration : Work effectively in a collaborative environment to achieve project goals and drive
scientific advancements. Collaborate to integrate data into broader research framework. Ability to present
results to a multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements
Education: PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cellular Biology, or a related field.
Experience: 2-5 years of postdoctoral or relevant industry experience.
Technical Skills:
- Standard molecular biology techniques . Proficiency in Illumina NGS technologies, including amplicon
preparation, library construction, and quality control. Experience with Bioanalyzer and/or TapeStation
for DNA analysis.
- Standard b iochemical techniques including protein production, immobilization and detection.
Understanding of assay development and protein/compound binding validation is a plus.
- Cell biology: mammalian cell culture, transfection, cell toxicity assays, and cell signaling.
- Proficient with necessary software and coding is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets (e.g. NGS, DEL), interpret experimental data,
summarize visually, and provide actionable insights.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present findings and
collaborate effectively with team members.
Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet
deadlines.
