Executive Pastor -  Central Ministries

 

Central Ministries is a multi-campus Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Everything the ministries do is grounded in the person of Jesus and a Biblical worldview. Central Ministries is a place where Love is found and Truth is proclaimed.

Central Ministries has an immediate opening for an Executive Pastor/COO. The ministry is seeking an Executive Pastor/COO who will work closely with Lead Pastor by leading staff and overall functions of the church. 

The role of the Executive Pastor/COO is needed due to the significant growth at Central Ministries. Along with the growth of new members, the ministry is also experiencing the excitement of ongoing expansions of the main campus. The ministry has an average weekly attendance of over 2,000 with a devoted and enthusiastic staff of 30+ employees for both campuses located in Leo, Indiana, and Fort Wayne.

Fort Wayne is the 2 nd largest city in Indiana and the hub of Northeast Indiana. Fort Wayne has continued to receive awards and recognition in recent years including: #1 Best city to raise a family, Top 5 best city in the US to visit with kids, Lowest cost of living, Top 5 most affordable place to live in the US, Top 10 emerging housing market in the US….to name only a few.

Interested candidates should have experience and a track record in developing staff, strategic visioning, operational excellence and effectively working with lead pastors and leadership teams in a church environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Provides support-partnership for Lead Pastor.
  • Create and maintain effective working relationships with Elder Board, Lead Pastor, and Leadership Team.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains day-to-day policies, procedures and practices for overall administrative functions.
  • Leads and manages staff and ministries through visioning, goal-setting, and personal growth and development.
  • Fosters an environment of excitement and cohesiveness in the overall church staff.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a servant’s heart and ministry team attitude.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of leadership and management experience including overseeing budgets, ministry and employee development preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, advanced degree preferred.
  • Leadership and team development experience.
  • Demonstrated strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
  • High level of communication and emotional intelligence skills.
  • Strategic visioning and planning experience.
