Sr. Project Coordinator, Creative Services (Global JanSport & NORA Eastpak)
What will you do?A day in the life of a Sr. Project Coordinator at JanSport and Eastpak looks a little like this.
As a Sr. Project Coordinator, you are responsible for optimizing processes/process for Global JanSport (includes EMEA, NORA and distributors) as well as Eastpak NORA. This position is a part of our creative team requires a proactive creative brain that is adept at problem solving and driving the department and creative team members forward. In this role, you will report directly to the Creative Director.
Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
- Observe, scaffold and build process to align key stakeholders and optimize workflow and team morale.
- Document and improve project process, including utilizing email and Asana for status updates, scheduling and running meetings and utilizing internal tools for work tracking to keep your projects on track.
- Manage the coordination and assignment of resources to creative projects, accounting for brief specifics and creative skill sets.
- Accountable for project plan and budget, resourcing, schedule and scope, as well as team and stakeholder transparency and overall project quality and success.
- Ability to develop project plans and scope for projects as assigned, within area of expertise.
- Be able to troubleshoot any production or campaign difficulties or problems, flag risks to stakeholder team and project stakeholders, while maintaining a big picture understanding of the team relationship/portfolio as a whole.
- Have good organization skills, be able to track multiple projects with multiple details at once
- Keep system data accurate and updated across projects and productions.
- Manage expenditures with external vendors and internal teams, adhering to and helping to manage monthly budget.
- Setup and drive projects across the organization taking ownership for their success and learnings. This includes but is not limited to productions, catalogs, hangtags, product photography and general asset distribution.
What do you need to succeed?We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 4+ years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
- Trusted team member with both Creative and Marketing Team and Stakeholder Teams/Clients with proven reliability
- Proactively guide teams to project solutions for problems, either to JanSport business goals or internal delivery
- Perform well, reliably, in chaotic circumstances and understand when items need to be escalated or paused for review
- Ability to mediate and resolve team debate and conflict
- Effectively manage budget, timelines and deliverables to meet the business objectives
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
- Integrated brand experience preferred, apparel/retail/outdoor brand a plus
